Windows Media Player + new hard drive

Okay guys,
I have a new external hard drive - 200GB. My main aim is to move 35GB of WMA files from my old hard drive to my new hard drive and have Windows Media Player play these files directly from the new one so that I can free up some space on the old one. Unfortunately I know little about the options etc in WMP, can someone tell me what I need to alter in the settings etc so that WMP detects all the music on my new hard drive and also saves any new music to this drive aswell so that I can keep it all together...
Help will be much appreciated :approve:

wmp doesnt have that capability of detecting media drive, its winamp that does that.anyway if u go to tools + options,u will able to find an option of the save directory?redirect to your own choice.about detecting, use the 'open' options or after directing it,u can use the monitor option to monitor dir u have selected. the monitor is located in 'tools + options + library tab + monitor buttorn.wish u luck. Robin
