Windows Media Player Problems

when WMP plays a movie, at the bottom, just below the screen. is a little arrow that tracks along as the movie progresses. Well not all my movies have that arrow, or at least it doesn't move. if you click on it, the movie starts all over again. now this was not always the case. everything was fine until i took my computer to the shop to get it debugged (whatever that is). now on some of the movies/clips the arrow moves and on some it doesn't.

I don't think this belongs in the Hardware board, but I'll try to help... First, I'll ask a few questions:

What version of WMP are you using?
What OS are you using?
Are you playing from DVD's or off your hard drive? Does it behave differently for one than the other?

OK I'm back. I have windows XP, WMP 11. WMP allows me to drag the little blue bar ( I thought it was an arrow) forward and back. Most of my movies on the hd drive won't do this but a few do. As state before, they all used to. Also being a newbie I thought a Guru would post my ? in the right spot if I didn't. Sorry I'm new
