Windows starting processes

  1. Hi Guys

    My question is how many process are you meant to have when the computer starts up?I know you can use msconfig to disable programmes startup but which programes are you meant to keep running?

    Is there a website that can give this info??

    You can pretty much disable everything in msconfig's "Startup" tab without major side-effects. However, you probably do want some of them there. Take a few minutes to look each process up via Google or Yahoo and decide for yourself whether or not you want it on your system's startup.

    Did not see that list there will have a look thanks for the reply guys, i take it when it says that programmes are dangerous and should be removed does that mean deleted from the computer or from the startup?
