Windows Updates opens both Firefox 2.0.4 & IE7

    The user has expressed "I decided to use Firefox and say goodbye to IE6,"

    The feature that makes both browsers 'different' is tabbed browsing. It is an important part of both Firefox and IE7. I don't believe he can really learn how to 'control' either browser without including tabbed browsing.

    Thanks to everyone for all your tips. after saving my GPJ's and MP3's on line I reformatted my hard drive. It's running well. I now have IE7 and Firefox 2.0.0.6 running properly. I use Stuff Plug3 to open Hotmails with Firefox in MSN, all my URL's are opening with Firefox. There're no bugs or gremlins and I will try to keep it this way.

    Glad you're running OK now. Those gremlins have a way of showing up on their own! Have you set up for tabbed browsing? If so, how do you like it?

    Good morning Boobye,

    I used IE7 as my default browser for a week before downloading Firefox. I found IE7 easier to use for setting up tabs particularly for opening then with the default search engine. I had to amend the script in Firefox for this to happen (typed: "about:config" in the URL box; then changed value of: "browser.search.openintab" to true). I'm all set now, I only use IE7 for updates and we all love and use tab browsing here at home.

    Sincere apologies Bobbye, dyslexia with foreign nationals such as I, has produced many misunderstandings and howlers over the past 20 years.
