On a laptop running XP which only I use, I decided to eliminate the guest account feature so that I could go straight to my desktop. However, after doing this, windows now wants me to login with a screen name and password which I never set up to begin with. How can I get back into windows to fix this?

Start windows in safe mode and you can access user accounts, or if I remember right, start in safe mode, make a administrator account and then log in on your administrator account and you can change or erase the password on your other account.

I googled and it looks like I must have just made a new account, however this link shows multiple ways to bypass the password on your current account through making a administrator account in safe mode.
