Windows Vista isn't recognizing my Product Key

    The title says it all.

    I have the correct Product Key for my computer and when I enter it in to activate 'windows' it just says it's incorrect.

    Another strange thing is that it only recently started doing this.

    Help much appreciated :D

    It sounds like you have to activate Windows often. Perhaps not but it sounds like it. Anyway, are you mixing Windows versions? That is, is the Product Key for a different version of Windows than the disk you used to install it?

    Actually yeah that makes sense as I had my HDD replaced, and vista re-installed. I shall be on to my comp repairer now.

    It's easy to mix up "B" and "8" coz the print is so small on the sticker.

    Problem Solved :)

    I eventually found out my ignorance got the better of me haha. I had to use the Automated Phone System to activate my Genuine Version of Windows because I had kept ignoring the 30day time to activate it :p
