Windows Vista system update error

  1. I have a computer i was given running windows vista, ran some virus scans and removed most of the viruses, but when i go to do windows updates on it. It fails all the updates and gives me a error: Code 800F0900

    How can i get updates to work again

    Found a 32bit version of it, and downloaded it. ran it and it said it needed to install a hot fix. when i clicked ok to install the hot fix it said cannot be installed. then closed the prompt.

    Did you get an error as to why it couldn't install? What was the hotfix?

    Click on the link below. Scroll down to the Fix It icon and click on it. Allow Fix It to run.
