I have windows XP pro and when I start the PC it gets to windows logo and the scan bar and thats it. Seems it stops trying to load cause the HDD light stops blinking. After rebooting MANY! times it will finally load. Can someone help me on this. In process of building a new PC but don't want to loose all my files on this one.

It could be due to a weak/defective the cmos battery.
You think thats what it might be ?. I did a HDD clone on new drive thinking it was drive problem,but that didn't work either so I put original back in.
I got to run but will check back later fo anymore idea's.I think I have a new battery so I will try it later and see what happens....Thanks
