Windows XP doesn't shut down, restarts instead

Hello techno team,
whenever i m trying to shut down my PC, it wont, and suddenly restarts instead. When I unchecked option(Automaticaly restarts) under system recovery settings, It shows BSOD showing some error. Then I used to turn off the switch on CPU. This is how the process of shutting down my PC, please help me to bring back it to the noarmal.
I havent intsall roxio Cd creator
