I purchased a new Hardrive and now when i want to install windows xp,, i get a blue error screen saying:

    pci.sys - address f78360bf .............

This is a brand new hardrive, so i cant use windows in any way.

any help would be really appreciated

i read somewhere that u need sp2, but i cant install it seeing that i do not have windows on the hardrive

i have sp on cd. but its a seperate cd.

i read that post, it makes sense, but the computer worked fine with all the installed hardware on the previous hard drive also SATA.

ii read somewhere that u have to slipstream sp2 on the hard drive. this i cannot do becuase i need to install windows first.

and i dont get the errors mentioned in the article

Actually, this not a reply but just another question to my friends if anyone can help.
How to get to the Recovery Console solution if my XP CD does not even start?
Could anyone, please, help solve this issue?
