    Hi,

I am getting blue screen error when I start my laptop. It displays same error if I go in the Safe mode. When Windows starts normally it gives error for AutoCheck program skip and than displays blue screen with message
"0x0000135 Windows has Shut Down". I can reload the XP form scratch but I have some important files that I need are on the laptop. Please help me how to resolve the problem without loosing any files from C drive and My documents folder.

    Thanks,

Boot to the CD and select the option (R) for the Recovery Console. When you reach the c:\ prompt, type CHKDSK. This will check your disk for errors and correct them. Then reboot and post results.
