Windows XP Home Taskbar freezes

    Hello everyone,

    I recently purchased a new computer and installed XP Home on it today.

    AMD-64 3000+
    1GB RAM
    160GB HardDisk (However, only 127GB being shown due to no Service Packs)

    I was having some problems during installing, and now just 12 hours later after a while I can't use the taskbar, or use Ctrl+Alt+Delete for Task Manager; I have to reset it with the computer, and I fear it is making things worse doing that method.

    Should I reformat? Perhaps get Windows XP Pro?
