Windows XP & MalwareBytes Glitch

I recently installed MalwareBytes on my Dell Latitude E6400, and activated it. It worked fine for the 1st couple of weeks, and than If I wanted to log on, It would display the Error Message "MalwareBytes tried to reference memory that can not be accessed", and than a string of random numbers and letters. If it did that While I was trying to log on, than my computer would Softlock (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Softlock), forcing me to hard reset. Does anyone know how to fix this?

PS: I can get it past softlocking on the login screen, If I type at the speed of lightning, and than it goes to my desktop no problem.

If there's a problem with security software and my computer I always drop the security software. There're plenty of alternatives. As XP is so old it's probably the most sensible option for you too.
