Windows XP MCE and XP HE

  1. Hey guys,

My Windows XP Media Center Edition crashed (cannot boot up) and since my laptop did not come with the original Windows installer, I installed WIndows XP Home Edition (from my previous laptop) instead.

My problem is I cannot access my personal folders/files which were created in my previous OS (XP MCE). It's always giving me Access Denied message.

Thanks for all the help guys.

Thanks for the quick response Ididmyc600. I checked but I don't have the simple file sharing button in windows explorer of windows xp home edition. Any other way to disable it? Thanks.
