Windows XP message shows ".dll file is not valid or missing message (Bad image)

  1. I keep getting "the application or DLL c:\progra~1\wi9130~1\datamngr\datamngr.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette" error message. why is this and how can I fix it? I don't think I have the original Windows XP Disk.

    What OS are you running and what is installed at \Program Files\wi9130~1 ?

    I am running Windows XP

    Where can I find this file? \Program Files\wi9130~1 I can not find it on my computer anywhere.

    yes, that short name is a pain.

    c:\Program Files is the location, but you will need to eyeball the directory names therein
    to find the best match
