I have tried all: boot with last known good config, start windows normally, start with command prompt, all of them........
Windows will not boot, the splash screen works hard, but I cannot get past the splash screen. Note: after the splash screen I get a blue screen, it appears so quickly I can't read it. (is there a way to "freeze" this blue screen?)
Question: what does this screen say?
    can someone help me here?
    thanks,

There is actually a way to freeze the screen. When the machine is booting up tap F8 repeatedly and you should come to a black screen with white writing. You want to scroll down and select 'disable automatic restart on system failure'

The machine will reboot and when the blue screen pops up, it will freeze until you restart the machine
