I recently replaced my power supply, i made sure everything got connected the right way, now when windows loads it doesnt detect my cdrw or my dvdrw. I went to bios and its not recognized in there. I have power to both my drives and the ide's are intact. I've searched everywhere on the net and can't find anything. Any help would be greatly be appreciated.

you've probably got your cables wired incorrectly. look for bent pins, not fully inserted plugs, or missing jumpers.

Do you really have power to the drives?
Can you open the drive doors while the computer is booting?
Can BIOS find the devices?

yeah i had power to the drives, i was able to open all doors, i went ahead and swapped out ide cable and thats what it was. Thanks for the suggestions and the help
