Windows XP won't load - MSI Wind U100 - blue screen

Windows XP won't boot on my netbook anymore. The error is:
stop: 0x0000007e (0xC0000005, 0x89A75AB3, 0xf78e6B98,0xf78e6894)

The netbook is a stock MSI U100+ wind and the only upgrade was extra ram.

Things I have tried but have made no use:

- removed extra ram
- can't run safe mode, it just goes to the bsod
- did manage to get into the system restore screen but restore did not work, just went back to the bsod

Any ideas anyone?

Can you get into the bios? Set all to default setup. Remove all but one memory module.
