windows98 wont run

    I have windows 98 second edition' worked perfect untill yesterday'this morning when i started the pc it runs as usual show the windows flag' than my screen saver and then an error that says that I have a problem with my explorer' nothing ekse wont go up on the screen'and when I tried to start up again in safe mode it did the same' nothing will go on but the reeor massage'when I press alt+ctrl+dlt it shows only the explorer nothing else
    any tips? before you send me to buy a new pc
