Hi all, can any one help me?I am trying to run my Epson photo 915 printer over a wireless connection,I have followed all the instructions I was given but still no joy. What I need is someone to help ,(in plain english as I am a complete novice). The printer is connected to my main computer and my laptop is connected thru a Belkin Wireless G Router. Both running Vista home premium. I have never had any trouble with connecting the laptop to the net, so the connection is ok. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

this description says that device has USB 1.1 connectivity, not ethernet.

You must have some kind of printserver device with wifi -- which one and where can we
    see the setup information?

Thanks Jobeard for your reply. The device has USB 2, and what is "some kind of printserver device with wifi" mean.

hum; the spec says USB1.1; can you point me to a URL that contains the correct info please?

a printserver is a device that connects to a printer by some means and to a network
using Ethernet so that all systems may access the same printer without using
    Print/File sharing.

Thanks Jobeard - but unfotunately I am no wiser! I don 't know what the following mean: ethernet, usb 1.1 and usb 2 connectivity, and I don't understand about a printserver - do I need to buy this ? Does the printer have to be plugged into the router? I REALLY am a novice ( a 56yr old one!). I need to know from start to finish how to do it all - but in VERY easy to follow steps. (That's why I posted for help again - cos I couldn't understand what to do....I even have someone typing these messages sometimes because it takes me ages as I am a one-finger typer!) PS you were right the device has USB 1.1 connectivity, not ethernet.

the information you provided contradicts the spec sheet I found for it.

I can't help you effectively without some concrete specification as asked previously.
Don't type it in, please give be a URL so I can assess it myself.

if you look in your browser while viewing this message, the address bar contains
    Code:
    http://www.techspot.com/vb/showthread.php?p=594476&posted=1#post594476
    that is a URL.

The URL I am asking for is that website page that has the specifications for your
    device make and model number.

    Going to the www.epson.com site, I can't even find a 'Epson photo 915';
    I found a Stylus 900 and 925, but nothing as a 915.

I didn't save the reference I found previously showing the USB 1.1 so
I'm stuck with my opinion that your device is not USB 2.0 which I think is
the incompatibility issue you are struggling with.

hum; I'm stuck. The Epson site is not specific as to the USB level as 1.1 or 2.0
whereas http://computing.kelkoo.co.uk/ps_355334/114901.html is specific and cites 1.1

I contend that the system is having problems with the USB 1.1 compatibility.
The only other thought might be the cable is not USB 2.0 rated (ie never buy usb 1.1 cables!)
