Wireless stopped randomly

I have a compaq laptop, and ive had it since last christmas. It uses a broadcom wireless card. I went to sleep one night and woke up and the wireless light at the front computer was orange which was what color it usually was when the card was turned off, no matter if its switched on or off it stas orange. My laptop cant find our home network. Ive updated drivers, I fixed a problem with the 6to4 adapter, I left the laptop switched off for 3 days and turned it back on and it still didnt work. What could be wrong?
