    Hi,

    I'm a student and as you'd imagine cash can be a little tight :angel:

    Anyways I was thinking of upgrading my aging Saphire (9700 - non pro) to a 6800 GT 256mb.

    My current specs are:
    2400 XP
    Nv7-133r (so it has to be AGP)
    1 gig of generic ram

    am I likely to see a big jump in games like bf2 with this card? this could be a stupid quest. Anways many thanks to anyone who looks at this thread :)

    It'd be faster, but I can't say how much. It'd be noticeable I'd guess.

    I guess a better way of putting it is, where would I best put my money. I will upgrade everything eventually but atm I have like £200 - £300 to spend.
