    im Planning on Buying This Motherboard and i was Wondering..

    Can the Processor i Currently Have On this Motherboard can be Installed on the Motherboard I Plan on Buying???

    Hi Marg and welcome to TechSpot :)

    you need to be more specific about your CPU (model#, socket, fsb, etc?). since there are several Pentium-4 models that run at 2.8GHz.

    according to the CPU support list for the GA-8I865GME-775-RH(rev. 1.0), all socket-775 P4's @2.8GHz are supported. if you have an older socket-478 P4 then it will not work.

    EDIT:ah forget it..its a socket 478..gotta check for a different Mobo
