X-Fi XtremeMusic - help please

Hi there,

I'm looking to buy a new soundcard - Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic; however it says on the requirements "Windows XP (SP2)", and I am running XP Pro without SP2 (just original XP). I hold my hands up to say that i'm not using a legit copy of Pro because of the price however I do have a legit copy of XP Home with SP2 but but Pro on because I need it for PHP, ASP webserver stuff... Therefore does anyone know if I cna actually run the soundcard without SP2 or are Creative just being told by Microsoft to say SP2 so people actually buy genuine copies of windows ?

You can easily download service pack 2 (SP2) from many websites. Simply just type download windows xp service pack 2 in google and select a website that isnt microsoft.
