Ok I know it's a stupid question but...

Do I have to have a vga monitor in order to use the Xcard? I mean if I connect the card to my TV am I going to see the Windows desktop?

I have a pc at my living room used for watching movies (dvd/divx) through tv-out on an ATi card. Of course I don't have a monitor there. Works cool. So could I have the same kind of setup with an Xcard?

If not then it beats the purpose.

Maybe if I set the Xcard Player to start playing the disk automatically (upon the windows boot up) so I don't even need to see the Windows part?

The Xcard won't display anything on a TV unless its playing it.

    That's too bad.

Connecting the pass-through cable mandates usage of the vga output then and it wouldn't do anything with tv output.

It just seemed logical that the pass-through cable would give you access to the windows desktop on your tv.
