I am looking at getting a new CPU heatsink / fan to replace the stock one I have at the moment, which is starting to make some rather wierd noises on start up :\
I ain't the richest person in the world and limited as to what I can buy, about £30.00 to end. So I was wondering if the XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 would be a good heatsink / fan to buy?

    Thank you in advance

Yes, the HDT-S1283 is a great cooler. Just make sure it fits in your case.

Part of me hopes it doesn't, gives me a good excuse to buy a new case hahaha

Well I got my new fan today, it has dropped my CPU temp down by 15 - 20 degrees at idle, ie. from 60 down to 40.
The bad news is, it fits in my case, so I don't get to buy a new one haha

You sound like my wife lol,
Here was me hoping it wasn't going to fit, and here was her 'it will either fit, or I will MAKE it fit' - I was so gutted haha
