    i am a newbe, and i need to know if my resident evil 4 pc game will work on xp pro x64 before i buy my os for a build. my first build. i cant decide to go with xp home or xp pro x64. i will be using an amd Athlon 64 X2, and i would like to use a x64 os. but will my game work with it?

    Yes it will run on either. If you plan on using 4GB of RAM (or more) at any point get the 64bit one. But really the amount of support for XP64 is pretty low, make sure your peripherials will work for it, they will either need specific XP64 drivers or Server 2003 drivers. If you are really wanting to go with a 64bit OS get Vista something 64bit. Much better support.
