My computer is starting as it usually does, and the windows loading screen goes by, but after the loading screen, and before the welcome screen should pop up, I get a blank screen with only the cursor showing.
I have tried using the 5x shift key to start stickykeys, and that did nothing.
CTRL+ALT+DEL does nothing.
I have tried restarting the OS in every mode I have available.
Immediately before this problem started, the OS would not start any .exe files. Because of this, I restarted and this problem arose.
Personally, I think that the computer is having extreme errors related to .exe files.
Anyway, the only XP CD I have is a Dell recovery disk from another computer.
If anyone can give some advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
Almost forgot, the last thing it was doing correctly was installing the D&D character builder, if that helps at all.
