    Hi;
    I'm installing a fresh copy of XP Pro on my system, and would like to know the correct sequence to install everything:

    Should I install the latest updates (SP3, etc) before I start to install any of my apps, or my video drivers?

    I am creating a dual-boot with a second install of XP on the same machine, so there is no rush on getting this done. I want a totally clean install, free from all the install/uninstalls I have done over the last year.

    Thanks

    FW

    1) There are some XP updates which may require re-installation of a driver (and not just video drivers)

    2) From that aspect you may as well install all of XP SP3 plus updates released since SP3 before optional drivers

    3) But still doesn't hurt to reinstall any basic drivers the as well

    And , of course, make sure all your drivers are the latest release for your hardware
