  1. I have a new XP Pro SP2 key but can only find an origional XP Pro disk. Will the SP2 code work with that disk?

My guess is probably not, but if you do really have a new SP2 key, call up Microsoft, they'll validate it, and then ask them to send you a new disc. It'll be a little bit of money out of your pocket, but you won't be paying for a new license and a new copy of Windows. It's something like $15-20 I think for a new disc as long as your key is valid. Either that or find a friend/coworker/colleague with an XP Pro SP2 disc that you can borrow, then install with that and use your key.

Actually, if it is the exact same kind of XP (Home, Professional, etc.) & in the same language it should accept your key.
