  1. I am trying to fix my sisters computer it will not boot up in windows xp i was able to download ubuntu and run it from a bootable dvd i cannot seem to make a functional windows xp bootable dvd or cd because i am running vista on my computers also she does not have a restore disc. last time i fixed her computer its was because she did not have any type of antivirus or malware protection i think that something may have simply corrupted the os files since it runs ubuntu fine from a disc if you all know how i can get my hands on an xp (home edition i believe) boot cd or dvd i think it would solve my problems

    thanks

Punctuation really hepls make a post readable. Just sayin'.

Anyway, I would first test your RAM and Hard Drive to make sure they haven't failed.
