    See that's what's fun, Smash. Even if I match your processor speed, I just can't quite catch you. Aside from differences in memory, it gives a good comparison between the E8400 and i7 920 at the same speeds. Although I have to admit my P5Q isn't exactly in the same category as the Rampage performance wise.

    Ya I noticed my processor was only at 50%. So does that mean that Super Pi is only using a single core? The Super pi programs affinity is set to utilize both cores.

    Not sure, over cpu usage for me was around 15-20% across the board, but my cpu temps increase about 20C during the SP runs.

    Holy crap, that's a lot. I heard the i7s ran a lot hotter when overclocked but that's a pretty substantial jump. Mine went from 26 to 31C and the cores went from about 30 to 40C. That's at my stock speed of 4.0GHz But then I have all the speed step stuff disabled so if I was jumping from 3.0 to 4.0 it probably would show a higher range of temp differences.
