Your help is needed asus vs dell laptop

Hi I am a newie to this site.

my old laptop is on its last legs .

I have been looking at a few new laptop and have narrowed it down to eith of the following.

1.dell xps m15530 $1,619 aust dollars
intel core2 duo t8100 2.1ghz
4 gig of ddr2 sdram
15.4 screen
256 mb nvidia geforce 8600gt
dvdrw
320 hd drive

2.asus m51vr ap046c $1,369 aust dollars
intel core 2 duo 2.4ghz
2gig of ddr2 ram
15.4 screen
hd3470 256mb graphics
dvdrw
320 hd drive

at the moment the asus offers a 2 year warranty , however the dell is an extra $456 dollars for the same.

looking at the above specs can anyone please give me their preference as I appear to be going around in circles.

Looking at the above only, obviously the Asus is cheaper and faster, and therefore better.

Before agreeing to the deal though, I'd say to them, put 4Gig of Ram in it and I'll take it :grinthumb
