Z5500s suddenly only using 6ch direct, nothing else

I just updated my sound from an XBlive 24b to an SB X-fi card. I thought the XBlive had started to self destruct as it seems overnight my Logi5500 were no longer able to use any setting but the 6ch direct. After installing the X-fi and updating and all that blah....same thing. Only the 6ch direct works on my logi z5500s. I know the other day I was using the PLII music setting. Having not installed any drivers for the speakers and it having worked previously, anybody have any ideas why it would just stop suddenly?? I do think this card sounds better off the 6ch, but I watch movies in the movie channel and prefer music through the music channel. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Solved. Somehow an RCA cable pulled part way out of the jack. Enough to not connect, but not enough to feel tight. Checking them as a last resort...I used more force than needed and well, would yuh look at that...it came out somehow.
