Zalman zm-mfc1 fan controller question

I own a Zalman zm-mfc1 and was curious as to whether or not it would be safe for both the zalman and my psu if i were to run two fans from one fan port. The fan control unit offers space for six fans to be plugged in and this is simply not enough. I plan to splice two fan wires together and plug into one of the six ports on the control unit. Should there be any ill results from this such as less power to each fan on the line or possibly a shorter life of the unit? Any insight would be appreciated, thanks.

It should be fine. Two fans from one port is not a problem. An alternative to manually splicing wire together is a pre-made splitter, like this one at Newegg: Splitter
