Zen 2 might not offer the IPC increase you expect

You've clearly never even listened to one of his videos, and notably don't even disagree with any the points I made. You're just blinded by hate: AdoredTV called out one of your favorite journos and, worse, has finally been getting some recognition for his excellent work. And of course it's much easier for you to get your mudballs second hand, without regard for context or relevance.

Well, it's your loss. To those not so mentally crippled I say give AdoredTV a try - you'll be impressed at the level of effort and intellectual honesty. I'd be pleased to meet him.

And I repeat: Perhaps you can tell us of even one other such journo who does anything close to the research, analysis, and presentation detail that AdoredTV produces. If they're in the same class I may go for Patron there too. So far I haven't found any.

Mate you've been brainwashed

Why does every tech site get the ccx's wrong? first off theres nothing saying that epyc will be 8 core ccx's. its 4 core ccx's with 2 per die. first gen ryzen was the same.

I mean everybody aggrees that ryzen first and second gen was 2 ccx's right? ok. so how dies or chips are on the first and second gen ryzen? if you said 2 you are one of the people making the mistake. ive seen wccftechm, this place and about 5 other sites saying the same thing.

first and second gen ryzen were a single chip with 2 ccx's on it. 1...single...chip. if the 64 core epyc has 8 dies that means its 8 cores per die, same as first gen ryzen. now it could be a single 8 core ccx. or it could be that each die has 2 ccx's of 4 cores each. we dont know for sure. just because it has 8 dies and is 64 cores tells us nothing. a 64 core cpus made of first gen ryzen dies would be 8 dies as well.

but if you went to 8 croe ccx's you would have to have a crossbar or ring bus system in place. kind of defeats the purpose of infinity fabric dont you think?
