Dell and HP to support new Blu-Ray DVD Standard

U.S. computer makers Hewlett-Packard and Dell said on Monday they would support a new DVD standard with much higher storage capacity which is being promoted by 10 electronics companies.

Dell and H-P, the world's largest personal computer makers, said they would support the so-called Blu-ray DVD technology, which allows for recording of up to four hours of high-definition television on a single disc.

Well, it sounds like Blue-Ray DVD technology will slowly become that new standard. Its a smart move for Dell and HP to hop on board.If they are the first computer manufacturers to offer that technology in their systmems then that is just going to = more $$$ for them.Its a no brianer when you think about it
