World broadband lines will exceed 150 million by the end of the year, according to research firm Point-Topic. Their study, which is based on current growth rates, indicates that broadband installations are continuing to grow healthily, increasing 53 percent from 89 million in the third quarter of 2003. The US is, of course, the world's leading broadband country, with almost 32 million accounts. China is in second place with 22 million accounts.
