AMD chips are pretty impressive, and its technology in general over the past several years has very much been something to admire. However, we are left feeling that AMD is still somewhat behind Intel in a number of areas, which indeed is true. For one, Intel's Developer Forum (IDF) is something that AMD wishes it had its own equivalent of, and now it appears that their wish will be granted, with the first "AMD World" being held in the first half of this year.

In a letter to the AMD investor, Henri said that the first AMD World will be held in the first half of this year. He said AMD recognised the need for such a forum and decided to have it coincide with the release of the Win 64 OS.
