Just released today, version 2.3 of the Metasploit Framework.

Anyone who seriously has security on their mind for their UNIX systems wants to subject them to penetration testing, and the Metasploit Framework is a wonderful way to do just that. The latest evolution of a project that began as little more than a hobby project, Metasploit has evolved into serious tool for security experts and, of course, those interested in exploit development. This framework, written in Perl, has just been updated to include some very neat new features, including an expanded library of custom-made exploits and payloads, usable against vulnerabilities in Windows, Linux and other operating systems. A cracker's dream, Metasploit allows you to enter an IP address and port number and run an exploit against a target system with considerable ease. Handle with care.
