MMS mobile phone virus discovered

By Derek Sooman

On March 10, 2005, 8:04 AM

Apparently a mobile phone virus that uses MMS messages to replicate has been found. The SymbOS.Commwarrior.A worm targets Series 60 phones and spreads using MMS to people on the infected phone's contact list, and Bluetooth wireless connections as a randomly named .sis file. Eventually, the battery will be drained away.

We are witnessing the birth of a new age. Just wait - mobile phone viruses will soon be everywhere!
