PalmOne has become Palm Inc., and has unveiled a new logo. The move follows PalmOne's announcement in May that it had agreed to pay PalmSource US$30 million for full rights to the Palm brand name. The new logo will appear on products later in the year.

"While a lot has changed--our name, ticker, logo and headquarters--our vision remains the same. We believe the future of personal computing is 'mobile computing,' and we aim to deliver superior hardware and software solutions so that we can continue to set the bar in the industry," Ed Colligan, Palm CEO, said in a statement.

Palm, who makes PDAs (personal digital assistants), smart phones and other bits and pieces, has been hit hard in recent years because of an overall decline in the PDA market, but has bounced back with its Treo smart phone products.
