ATI and nVidia Release New Linux Drivers

By Justin Mann

Video card drivers are important for enthusiasts, and even more so important for linux nuts like myself. Driver updates for video cards aren't seen often. But when they are, they appreciated! Some of the fixes for ATI included a memory leak bug stamped out, improved 2D acceleration, and removing of the “double cursor” bug. The nVidia drivers are the same from last week, except they include some bug fixes for those of you lucky enough to own a 7800 GTX. You can download the respective drivers from here at ATI.com and the nVidia drivers here at nVidia.com. There are 64bit drivers available as well from both vendors.
