.xxx is delayed

The approval of the .xxx top level domain where it seems all porno is going to live in future has been delayed by ICANN. Seemingly, the controversy comes from conservative groups in the US raised concerns about having a TLD specifically for porn. Even Bush seems to have an opinion on this one, voicing concerns that a virtual red light district was perhaps not for the best.

At a meeting on Thursday, ICANN's board of directors told staff that ICM Registry, the company that will operate the .xxx domain, will have to agree to further contractual provisions before the adult-entertainment TLD gets the green light.
