Pay-Per-DVD
It's a possibility that in the future the popular Pay-per-view service offered by many cable providers will actually give you a DVD of the movie or show you purchase after it has been aired. With the increase competetion with straight-to-DVD movies and shows coupled with ease of use for DVDs and home video, media companies have to evolve. Comcast is proposing a $17 fee to have the show aired as well as to provide you with a hard copy of it a few days later. $17 may not be chump change but if it comes as a DVD quality movie, $17 for a hard copy of a movie you can watch immediately and have sent straight to your home afterwards seems quite convienant.
