The past few years has seen Apple take great strides in the PC and media market, with the incredible success of the iPod and the newer G5s. For a long time Apple was relatively dormant, but they came out at a good time. According to Reuters, Apple is growing rapidly and gaining in both PC sales and iTunes sales. They are approaching 2 million songs sold a day and have had a lot of success in online video sales as well. For good or for bad, Apple is growing faster than the rest of the PC industry, relatively, though they still remain relatively niche with a very small percentage of desktops. They've done some moves that have made them unpopular in the past, but with the release of Mac OS X and the possibility of an x86-based Apple system, they definitely are wedging their way in.
