Microsoft opens up WinFX development framework

For those of us who are developers, it's interesting to note that Microsoft is now allowing full development using the WinFX framework. A lot of corporate environments will be utilizing this new framework for in-house development. This isn't supported like other MS environments yet for single users, but it is still available.

”Developers beware: you're on your own if you accept Microsoft's offer of a Go Live License. Beta code released under Go Live is not supported by the company - so forget patches or fixes, especially in favorite areas such as security.”
Hopefully, this will give us and other developers some idea as to what coding for the Vista environment will detail. One of the most frustrating parts of support is having to deal with legacy applications that do not function properly in newer versions of Windows, and the more time people have to prepare the better.

  2. Yay for developers. Finally for Microsoft.
  3. Maybe Microsoft is going soft? Nah! They probably will charge loads for this!
  4. If they are going to ue it in Vista they had better hurry up with all this
