Red Hat and LinuxIT promote Linux to small businesses

By Derek Sooman

Red Hat and LinuxIT are working together to tempt more SMEs towards using Linux. The pair want to target small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who claim that lack of Linux knowledge is what is hampering them from adopting the OS.

The pair have put together some tools, including video tutorials, guiding SMEs through typical tasks using Linux, such as how to set up a print server.

The companies will also be holding seminars to spread the Linux word and giving small businesses the chance to trial Red Hat's Enterprise Server.
