EA settles lawsuit from workers for $14.9 Million

A while back, two lawsuits were filed against EA for workplace violations, most notably the excessive amount of overtime employees (especially game developers) were working. One of those suits has now been settled, and for a payout of almost $15 Million, the suit against EA will be dropped. As it stands, workers with a claim can come forward to receive compensation for the excess work, and after a set period of time, unclaimed funds will be sent to charities. Better late than never, and hopefully EA will learn that working people half to death will not make things better. The settlement isn't finalized yet, but when it is, many workers should feel better to know they will receive something for their time. You can travel back to 2004 and read about when this was first breaking.
