The X1900GT has now officially hit the stores, and it hits with a retail price that is actually easily to swallow considering the average price of top end cards. For the 575MHz/1.2GHz X1900, you're looking at around $299 for retail, and there are at least three vendors that are making the card available. Sapphire, GECUBE and PowerColor are all offering them currently, and more will surely soon follow. As covered before, the X1900GT is an R580 based card that will be mid-range. It will be interesting to see how it actually competes.

 1.
you're looking at around $299 for retail,
CHEAP!!!!!
 2. Cheap... kinda, but still necessary given NVIDIA's dominance with the 7900gt in that price target.
